Though women are considered the torch bearers of civilization, their role in society is often neglected. Many are subject to exploitation in various forms.
The Nallamani foundation empowers women though a variety of educational and social initiatives. These include training women in various skills and providing them with counselling and personality development opportunities. The idea behind our initiatives is that it is best to teach individuals to fish, rather than supporting them for a fixed period of time.
Our livelihood projects thus concentrate on imparting a key skill to women, based on their individual interest. This helps them plan their lives better, gain employment and secure a source of income for themselves and their families. This in turn helps to mitigate the cycle of poverty.
Armed with a confident can-do attitude, supreme will power and clear ability, the empowered women thus go on to change the very facet of society and initiate a cycle of positive change.
