Shri N.N.Nallamani

Shri N.N.Nallamani was born in mofussil Tamil Nadu at a time when India was still under imperial control. From young, he was moved by the poverty, ignorance and suffering he saw all around him and decided to take it up as a life’s mission to bring a positive change, especially in the lives of thousands of rural women folk. Independence had been won, but the real change was only just beginning.

He soon realized that the only way to impart a social change was by means of activities and initiatives that touched everyday lives. With this vision in mind, he zealously involved himself in founding a number of business activities and channelled the returns to philanthropy. These first initiatives later bloomed into the reputed Nallamani group, with diverse interests in transport and finance (NBFCs).

Education and empowerment must go hand in hand. With this vision, he founded a number of educational institutions. Joining hands with academics and intellectuals, he pioneered the concept of girl’s education in the heartlands of rural Madurai and channelled all his energy in confronting harsh realities. He exhorted women to join the workforce and play a greater role in moulding society. By founding a woman’s college exclusively dedicated to teacher training courses, he ensured that the light of education was exponentially spread.  These initiatives slowly brought about a lasting change in attitudes and perceptions.

His legacy lives on today through the medium of his educational institutions and the thousands of lives he has directly and indirectly touched. A visionary, entrepreneur, philosopher and philanthropist, his principles of selfless service and empowered values continue to guide and drive us to this day.

Shri N.N.N.R. Nallamani

N.N.N.R.Nallamani is the grandson of the doyen Shri.N.N.Nallamani.

A London-educated entrepreneur, he brings a strategic purpose, global vision and finesse to the activities of the Nallamani Group. Under his leadership, the Nallamani group has expanded the reach and footprint of the business by venturing deeper into the NBFC arena.

Strategic planning and strong implantation are his forte and he has successfully theorized and practically applied the latest of business development, analytics and business intelligence in a philanthropic environment. Thus the activities of the group have been able to reach a larger audience and the benefits and reach of various initiatives multiplied.

With a dedication for social enterprise, he has helped the Nallamani Foundation join hands with some of the leading hospitals and educational institutions in key partnerships and programs both locally and internationally. His passion for building institutions and hospitals stems from his experiences of setting up successful ventures. His next target is to scale up the activities of the foundation over the next decade, cover all rural areas in Tamil Nadu and build a super-speciality hospital in his native village in rural Madurai.
